Great food and great atmosphere. Stage House has been in Scotch Plains since the dawn of America! The manager was very knowledgeable about the history of the building, which intrigued us all. The belief is that the building was used as a stop over for travelers who could find a warm meal for themself and a meal for their horse. The inside is mostly original which adds to the unique character of the place. The food is exceptional. We went with a fairly large party so we got to sample a pretty good chunk of the menu. The chili was out of this world. My husband and friend loved the clams. For dinner, I had the chicken pot pie, which was the perfect comfort food. Everyone loved their dishes and we will definitely be going back in the future! There is also a beautiful outside bar and seating area. When it's nice out again, I think we'll try sitting out there.
A great place for any kind of gathering. Outside bar and dining area. Inside sports bar, small private room areas, main historic dinning room area, food and drink very good. Some good craft beer selections. Highly recommend Scotch Plains Stage House Inn.
I've been to this location of couple of times now. I keep going back because the service is excellent. The food is good. The drinks are good. The bartender that I prefer, Alysa, is great. The atmosphere and crowd here is very inviting. I have no complaints. Overall, I'm giving this place five stars.
Love going to Stage House! The food is great, but the staff makes the place. I typically go to the bar and all the bartenders are awesome! The bar staff knows their drinks and are entertaining and friendly. Can’t go wrong sitting at any of the bars!
One of my favorite bars, it has an amazing outdoor patio and a cool rustic interior. It is said that George Washington himself had a drink there before the battle of Morristown. The food is good enough, and the drinks and the atmosphere make up for the rest of it. Truly a place to visit if your looking for a good time and a drink.
